We set sail from Ala Wai Boat Harbor at 11am under perfect weather conditions. The sky had some light clouds, but the sun was shining, and the wind was blowing steadily at 10 knots from the northeast. The ocean was calm with gentle waves, making it an ideal day for a midday sail and swim adventure.
As we departed from Ala Wai Boat Harbor, the excitement was palpable among our group of friends. The Caelestis sliced effortlessly through the water, her 65′ cutter-rigged sloop design proving once again why she’s perfect for these adventures. The stunning views of Waikiki and Diamond Head provided a beautiful backdrop as we sailed into the open waters.

Anchoring near Diamond Head, the group eagerly donned their snorkeling gear and plunged into the crystal-clear waters. The underwater world was vibrant with life, and our guests were thrilled to swim alongside colorful fish, graceful sea turtles, and even a playful pod of dolphins. The serene and protected waters offered the perfect environment for a leisurely swim and exploration.
As the afternoon drew to a close, we hoisted the anchor and began our return journey. The calm waters of Diamond Head gave way to the exhilarating swells of the Molokai’i Channel. On our way back, we were treated to a spectacular sight – a pod of dolphins dancing and leaping in the waves alongside the Caelestis. This unexpected encounter was the highlight of an already magical day.
